If you are local, you can visit Donna at her studio for a short consultation (or we can do it over email, if you live further away), where you can decide on your ring design, metal, and sort out sizing. You can choose from a classic 'D shape’ or 'Oval/Court', or a more modern 'Flat' or ‘Inverted D’ shaped ring. Donna has lots of sample rings you can try on to help you decide on the shape, dimensions and finish. We then start creating your rings. Donna, your tutor, will demonstrate and guide you through each stage of the ring making process. We will stop for a short tea break at around 11.30am. By lunchtime you will have your basic soldered and shaped rings. You will begin the work of filing and sanding your rings. Then, together you will be shown how to achieve the finish you would like, whether that be polished, satin finished and/or textured. The day will end with a bottle of bubbly, and a glance through the photographs taken to document your day, which Donna will email to you afterwards. Prove to your disbelieving friends and family that you actually made these professional looking rings yourselves. It could also be something unusual for the wedding album or the day itself. If you have an engagement ring, we recommend making your wedding ring in the same alloy (colour and carat, if gold), if you plan to wear them next to each other.
